About

We are ESOL/EAL teachers in Australia, who often started off writing for other publishers, but then decided to take the self-publishing path and create the resources that we’d love to use ourselves. Now we’re working together to promote and support each other. You can read more about how we formed our group on the Our Story page.

Lauren Piovesan is based in Queensland, where she creates her series of multi-level digital and paperback ESLReads readers for young adult and adult learners. Her website is eslreads.com.

Clare Harris is also based in WA, and writes ESL Extras (photocopiable reading resources) and ESL Easy Reads (e-books). She first started writing for NCELTR and Macmillan, and now writes as The Book Next Door. Her website is thebooknextdoor.com

Carmel Davies and Sharon Duff  live in Victoria, and have written a huge range of materials for CaLD learners. Their publishing venture, Urban Lyrebirds, publishes Carmel and Sharon’s Sing with me! workbooks and reading books, and the late Maggie Power’s much-loved Passages to English books. Their website is urban lyrebirds.com
