We are ESOL/EAL teachers in Australia, who often started off writing for other publishers, but then decided to take the self-publishing path and create the resources that we’d love to use ourselves. Now we’re working together to promote and support each other. You can read more about how we formed our group on the Our Story page.

Susan Boyer has been writing resources for Boyer Education for many years. She started with the popular Understanding Everyday Australian series, and has produced a wide range of resources for improving listening and speaking skills, reading, writing, spelling and everyday conversation. Her website is boyereducation.com.au

Karen Slikas Barber, based in Western Australia, is the author and now micro-publisher of the Carly and Kumar reading series, through Read Me Again Press. She has also written other easy readers, now available as a free download. Her website is readmeagainpress.com.au

Hazel Davidson and Dorothy Court, based in Queensland, have been writing and illustrating English language teaching  materials for many years, first for NCELTR and TELLS, then as Sugarbag on Damper. Their website is sugarbagondamper.com

Clare Harris is also based in WA, and writes ESL Extras (photocopiable reading resources) and ESL Easy Reads (e-books). She first started writing for NCELTR and Macmillan, and now writes as The Book Next Door. Her website is thebooknextdoor.com

Carmel Davies, Sharon Duff and Maggie Power all live in Victoria, and have written a huge range of materials for CaLD learners. Their recent publishing venture, Urban Lyrebirds, publishes Carmel and Sharon’s Sing with me! workbooks, and Maggie’s much-loved Passages to English books. Their website is urban lyrebirds.com
