This is a photo of Clare Harris, from the start of her self-publishing journey!

She publishes as The Book Next Door, with a range of reading books and English language learning resources. Join her on LinkedIn as Clare Harris, or on Facebook or Insta, as ESLwriterClareHarris.

ESL Extras are mostly easy reading books, available with audio. Format is either as a small ‘Library reader’ or as part of a photocopiable Teacher Guide (paperback or pdf), containing:

  • the full text of the reader
  • learner worksheets and answers
  • teacher or tutor notes

There are also two puzzle books in the ESL Extras line-up: Extra Easy Puzzles and Workwise English Puzzles. Workwise English Quizzes are in video slideshow format. The four Wordsearch books are write-in learner books.

ESL Easy-Read Book Club books are at an intermediate level and feature longer stories with Book Club questions at the end of each chapter. Available in paperback or as a downloadable pdf.

Tabletop English and Starting Tabletop English are sets of photocopiable games and activities to support pre-beginner and beginner learners in fun, interactive ways to use the language they learn in class.

NEW: Read about Australia books are almost ready to launch – they are non-fiction books for libraries, on request, with audio and downloadable worksheets! Watch this space!
