Very simply: We’re happy you visited, but we don’t need to know who you are. We do not ask you for personal information, or collect personal information, and we do not use any apps or plug-ins to track or store information about you. (If you choose to comment on a blog post, you can share information, but this is your choice.)

This is a WordPress.com site, and they do collect some details for their stats. They will see how many people visited and where they were from. If you choose to stay on this site, you need to be comfortable with that.

We have links to many other sites, and they will have their own privacy policies.

Here is our more formal policy:

Privacy Policy
ESL Spin [a group of ESL/EAL teachers and indie publishers] is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.
A copy of the Australian Privacy Principles may be obtained from the website of The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at https://www.oaic.gov.au/.

We do NOT collect sensitive information, though you may choose to share it in a blog comment,
Sensitive information will be used by us only:
• For the primary purpose for which it was obtained
• For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose

Third Parties
Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you 9and in fact we do not choose to do this). However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

Disclosure of Personal Information
Your Personal Information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:
• Third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and

Security of Personal Information
We do NOT store any personal information about you, unless you have chosen to share it in a blog comment (which of course is public), or emailed it to us.
